The Chair is a Synopsys University Program Member, located in Synopsys Armenia CJSC, operating on the basis of Cooperation Agreement between SEUA and Synopsys Armenia CJSC. The Chair also functions under the material and technical support of Synopsys Armenia CJSC. Teaching is performed in compliance with curriculum, matching the best international standards in the area of VLSI Design and Electronic Design Automation (EDA). The Chair cooperates with the leading universities in microelectronics area worldwide in developing curriculum as well as implementing joint scientific works. Synopsys also provided the Chair by all the EDA tools necessary for the educational process. The best students of the three departments of SEUA “Computer Systems and Informatics”, “Cybernetics”, “Radio and Communication Systems” are selected to continue their further education at the Chair. Education is realized in two specializations: "VLSI Design" and "EDA". The "Microelectronic Circuits and Systems" (MCS) Interdepartmental Chair prepares specialists mainly for Synopsys Armenia CJSC by giving advanced degrees in Bachelor, Master and PhD programs. The best professors of SEUA and the leading specialists of Synopsys Armenia CJSC work for the Chair. After successful graduation the best students are eligible for employment at Synopsys Armenia CJSC.
