practical skills that will allow them to perform professional activities in
the field of industry of microelectronic and electronic devices, as well as
in researching-designing and service of such devices.
The professional activities include the complex of means and methods that are
dedicated to the design, elaboration, investigation, maintenance and services
of electronic devices and equipments of different types.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
The department of Electrical Engineering trains specialists for the
enterprises of electrical engineering industry and the power complex.
The graduates of the Department of Electrical Engineering can be emploied at enterprises of the field of electrical
engineering producing power generators and compressors, mobile electric power
plants and electric machines, transformers, automatic lines, power cables and
communication cables, capacitors, articles of illuminating, electric and
electronic apparatuses.
At present, the Department carries out training specialists on “Electrical
Engineering” specialty
Including the next main directions:

The Department is ready to train foreign specialists at the Bachelor, Master
and Post-graduate Program levels in Russian, English, French and Armenian on
the mentioned above specialty provided by the Department according to the
conditions coordinated in advance.
2.
MASTER DEGREE PROGRAM – 2 YEARS
The duration of the Master’s program at SEUA is 2 years. Students can
apply for after completing a preceding Bachelor program in the same
disciplinary area, being awarded their bachelor Degree.
From the second term, students start at their Graduate thesis in parallel
with their classes. After the successful defense of thesis and completion of
the study program, they are awarded the Degree of Master of Engineering.
Practically, for the students registered in English language groups, there is
no limitation on the choice of specialties and in case of incomplete groups,
individualized instruction is practiced.

3. RESEARCH PROGRAMS – 3 YEARS
This is a postgraduate 3-year program (aspirantura)
leading to the Candidate of Science degree (equivalent to Ph.D)
combined with the Research Engineer 2-year degree educational special program
organized by the Graduate Education Division, in parallel.
The prerequisites for admission are Master Degree awarded at the University
or other universities related to the Ph.D degree
requirements, and availability of a qualified scientific adviser.
For foreign students the program includes mainly the supervised 3-years
scientific research component awarding the Candidate of Science degree after
the successful defense of the thesis.
