The Chair carries out scientific-research work in the field of engineering and applied geometry.

The main scientific direction:

Investigation of the methods of geometrical simulation of the objects and life phenomena and solution of key problems of graphic representation of information for elaboration of technologies in the development of computer virtual worlds.

The urgency of this direction is conditioned by the transition from traditional design technologies to the computerized automated design systems giving birth to a broad range of opportunities for investigation of methods for geometrical simulation generating new technologies.

The investigations are carried out by means of descriptive, analytic, engineering, projective, algebraic, differential, multi-dimensional geometries and the theory of images.

In the result of theoretical investigations program packages are created by the Chair which can be introduced in the graphical subsystems of various systems used in many scientific fields, and, particularly in automated design.
