Laboratories
| Laboratory
of Mechanics and Molecular Physics The
laboratory work involves basic parts of mechanics and
molecular physics according to the accepted teaching
program. To prepare for lab experiments, the students
study according to methodical summaries. These summaries
help the students get to know a number of physical phenomena
and the methods for measuring physical quantities. The
summaries also give a detailed description of methods
of measurement and elaboration of the measurement results.
At present the course of labwork consists of seven lessons.
|
|
1.
Physical quantity measurement and their imperfection estimation.
2. Investigation of uniform motion laws using Attwood’s
machine .
3. Investigation of laws of energy and linear momentum conservation
on the example of perfectly elastic ball collision.
4. Investigation of laws of rotational motion.
5. Liquid viscosity coefficient determination by Stocks
method.
6. Air viscosity coefficient determination and transfer
phenomenon parameter estimation.
7. Determination of specific heat relations.

| Laboratory
of Electricity and Magnetism. Labwork
involves the main parts of electricity and magnetism
envisaged by the accepted university program. The students
get ready for the laboratory studies according to methodical
summaries created by the Faculty of the Chair. A detailed
description of the labwork
and the description of devices and techniques of measurements
of certain physical quantities are carried out. Every
result obtained experimentally is supposed to be accompanied
by error measurement estimation.
At present the labwork course consists of seven lessons.
|
|
1.
Investigation of electrostatic field.
2. Determination of capacitance.
3. Determination of conductor resistance by the bridge
method of Witstone.
4. Current – voltage and temperature characteristics investigation
of two- electrode valve.
5. Determination of specific electron charge.
6. Determination of the Earth magnetic field horizontal component.
7. Determination of solenoid magnetic field .

Laboratory of Wave and Quantum Optics.
The
labwork involves the basic parts of oscillation and
optics envisaged by the accepted university program.
The students prepare for the labwork using methodical
summaries. The labwork includes a number of basic
optical phenomena and gives profound knowledge of
quantum mechanics and optics fundamentals from the
practical viewpoint. The students acquire knowledge
concerning certain updated measuring instruments and
methods of processing of the measurement results with
an error measuring estimation.
At present the course of labwork consists of seven
lessons.
|
|
1. Determination of logarithmic decrement for oscillatory
circuit.
2. Determination of the velocity of sound propagation
by interference method.
3. Determination of monochromatic wavelength by interference
method.
4. Determination of monochromatic wavelength by diffraction
method.
5. Study of polarization phenomenon.
6. Determination of Stefan-Boltzman constant.
7. Study of photoeffect laws.
