The department of Electrical Engineering trains specialists for the enterprises of electroengineering industry and the power complex.
The graduates of the Department of Electrical Engineering are employed at dozens of enterprises of the field of electrical engineering producing power generators and compressors, mobile electric power plants and electric machines, transformers, automatic lines, power cables and communication cables, capacitors, articles of illuminating, etc.
At present the Department carries out training on the following specialities:

• Electromechanics
• Electric Drive and Automation of Industrial Plants and Production Complexes
• Design and Maintenance Household Machines and Devices
• Electrotransport
• Electric and Electronic Apparatuses
• Operation and Maintenance of Electric and Electromechanic Equipment
• Electro-isolation, Cable and Capacitor Engineering
• Illumination Engineering and Light Sources
  

The Department is Ready:

- to train foreign specialists at the Bachelor, Master and Post-graduate Program levels, to organize scientific and pedagogic probation courses on the basis of individual plans;

- to enroll foreign students to be trained on full or partial Bachelor, Master and Post-graduate courses in Russian, English, French, German and Armenian on the specialties provided by the Department according to the conditions coordinated in advance;

- to organize scientific-engineering collaboration with foreign Universities and companies;

- to organize teaching collaboration with the Universities and Engineering Institutes of different countries including the student exchange programs;

- to cooperate with foreign partners on joint projects financed by various funds;

- to send the specialists of the Department to deliver lectures for the students, post-graduates and scientific collaborators in foreign universities and scientific-research organizations.
