Culture and Leisure The Cultural Centre of SEUA was established in 1995. The Head of the Centre is Academician Yu. Sargsyan, the Rector of SEUA. The main goal of the Centre is to consolidate creative young people and involve the students into cultural work among masses. The Cultural Centre of SEUA actively cooperates with the Inter-institute Student Centre, RA national communities and educational establishments. The achievements of the students of SEUA (the former Polytechnic Institute) are connected with the excellent arrangements carried out by the preceding generations of students. “Student Spring” and “Student Autumn” All-Union Festivals, All-Union Festival of Classical Music, the performances of YPI Chamber Orchestra - the winner of all-union competitions (the Chamber gave performances in 5 different countries of the world, including the USA), All-Union Festival of Student Miniature Theatre, the Republican Festival of Ethnographic Song and Dance, “Ayrudzi” Horse Club, the performances of numerous CMS (KVN) teams, including the YPI team (later it was renamed YMI and became a champion), and the Festival of Foreign Students were the best. The arrangements of the Cultural Centre are carried out at SEUA (“Large Hall” – 550 seats, “Green Hall” – 120 seats, “International Hall” – 100 seats, “Red Hall” – 50 seats). |
