Training according to the educational program for a Research-engineer is conducted by a course of a two-year post-graduate study, during which a post-graduate student specializes in the corresponding scientific field on the basis of the acquired theoretical and practical skills, thus acquiring qualities necessary for a researcher and teacher and, simultaneously, carrying out a dissertation research on the confirmed theme to meet the requirements that are set  for acquiring a scientific degree of a Ph. D.

The qualitative requirements and educational process of a Research-engineer correspond to the accepted international standards, which enables the graduates to continue their further activities abroad according to their specialty .

On accomplishment of the study, according to the educational program for a Research-engineer a qualification degree (diploma) of a Research-engineer on the given specialty is awarded.

According to the results of the educational program of a Research-engineer the post-graduate student, who has mainly accomplished his dissertation work, acquires the right of the third year of study at the post-graduate department to accomplish his research envisaged by his individual plan, and to defend the dissertation at the specialized committee HAC.
